Police arrested Dulal Gazi, 20, with 5 shotgun cartridges looted from police during a special operation in Hoglakandi under Munshiganj Sadar Police Station on Saturday (24 October 2026).
Police sources said special anti-terrorism operations were underway across the district under the overall direction of the Munshiganj superintendent of police. As part of the drive, a team from Munshiganj Sadar Police Station raided Hoglakandi village on Saturday, 24 October, acting on a tip-off.
Officers detained Dulal, son of Awlad Gazi of Hoglakandi village, at his home. They then searched the house and recovered 5 looted police shotgun cartridges hidden beneath a mattress.
The district police media cell said a case had been filed against him under the Arms Act at Munshiganj Sadar Police Station. Police have begun investigating how he obtained the ammunition and whether anyone else was involved. Preparations are underway to produce him before a court after completing legal procedures.
District police sources also said such special operations would continue to maintain law and order and recover looted police weapons and ammunition.
