State Minister Abdul Bari gives financial aid to 146 people in Kalai

Abdul Bari, state minister for public administration and food and MP for Joypurhat-2, distributed cash assistance from his discretionary fund to 146 recipients in Kalai upazila of Joypurhat on Wednesday (October 21) morning.

The event took place at his residence in Kalai upazila headquarters at 10am. The state minister personally handed over Tk 2,500 each to 146 people from different parts of the upazila. Recipients will be able to spend the money according to their needs.

Those present included the state minister’s wife, Nazma Ara Begum Bari; his son, Toufiq Hasan Bari; Kalai Upazila Nirbahi Officer Foysal Ahmed; Kalai thana BNP Convener Ibrahim Hossain Fakir; Senior Joint Convener Rafiqul Islam Chowdhury Tuku; Moudud Alam Sarker; municipal BNP Joint Convener Abdul Alim Sarker; and district BNP convening committee member Anisur Rahman Talukder. BNP leaders and activists from different parts of the upazila also attended.

Recipients expressed satisfaction after receiving the assistance. They thanked the state minister for the initiative and prayed for his good health and long life.

The assistance from the discretionary fund is expected to help meet recipients’ needs at the local level.
