Preparatory Meeting Held in Joypurhat’s Kalai to Ensure Durga Puja Security

A preparatory meeting was held in Kalai upazila of Joypurhat to ensure the upcoming Sharadiya Durga Puja is celebrated in a peaceful and secure environment.

The meeting brought together representatives of the administration, law enforcement agencies, political leaders and puja committees. Discussions focused on strengthening security at puja mandaps, managing visitor movement and improving coordination between relevant departments and puja committees to prevent untoward incidents.

The meeting took place at the Upazila Parishad conference room at 10am on Tuesday, October 13, with Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md Faisal Ahmed in the chair.

Participants discussed security arrangements at puja mandaps, the law and order situation and measures to maintain religious harmony. They also sought everyone’s cooperation in ensuring a joyous celebration with participation from all communities.

Those present included Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate Abdullah Al Mahbub; Kalai Police Station Officer-in-Charge Saidul Alam; Upazila BNP Convener and former Punat Union Parishad Chairman Md Ibrahim Hossain; Kalai Municipal BNP Convener Md Sajjadur Rahman Talukder Sohel; Upazila BNP Joint Convener Md Moudud Alam Sarkar; and Municipal BNP Joint Convener Md Abdul Alim Sarkar.
