Inqilab Mancha's long-distance march, titled "March for Insaf", which began at Banglabandha Zero Point on Bangladesh's northern border to press for three demands, entered Dinajpur on Sunday (October 11). After passing through Panchagarh and Thakurgaon districts, the marchers reached Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University (HSTU). Following their programme in Dinajpur, the marchers are scheduled to continue towards Teknaf, at the southern end of the country.

Upon their arrival at the university campus, a rally was held with the participation of students and members of the public. Abdullah Al Jaber, Member Secretary of Inqilab Mancha, was the keynote speaker at the gathering.

Addressing the rally, Abdullah Al Jaber said, "Five days ago, we began our 'March for Insaf' from Banglabandha Zero Point, the northernmost part of the country. Together with ordinary people, we want to send a message to the government that the people of this country are united in their demand for justice."

During the rally, Inqilab Mancha presented three key demands

The return of those involved in the killing of Shaheed Osman Hadi from Delhi to Bangladesh by December 18 and the assurance that they are brought to justice.

Implementation of the people's referendum mandate to establish a state founded on justice.

Fair and impartial investigations and trials concerning the July mass killings, the Shapla Chattar killings and the Pilkhana massacre.

Abdullah Al Jaber further stated that young people would remain united beyond all political affiliations in the struggle to protect the country's independence and sovereignty and establish justice.

Expressing determination to continue the movement until their demands are fulfilled, he said the primary objective of the programme was to build public support and assist the government in implementing those demands.

However, he warned that any deliberate delay or conspiracy concerning the demands would not be tolerated. He said that if any conspiracy emerged, the protesters would mobilise the public and organise resistance on the streets.

Following the rally, special prayers were offered for the forgiveness and eternal peace of Shaheed Osman Hadi's soul, as well as for the well-being of the protesters and the uninterrupted continuation of their march.

The organisers said the "March for Insaf" would continue towards Teknaf after the completion of their programme in Dinajpur.
